Tips from Madison County Master Gardeners |
The first step to become a member of the Master Gardeners is to take a series of classes over twelve weeks. The classes meet twice a week. Each class is approximately three hours in duration. There is a mid-term and final exam which must be completed with a score of 70. After the applicant has taken the classes they begin their internship. During the first year the applicant must complete 50 hours of approved community service. To maintain membership, twenty-five must be completed each year. If you are interested in becoming a member of the Master Gardener's Association, please e-mail us your contact information. We will add your name to our Waiting List, when we have enough who have signed-up, we will contact everyone to make arrangements for the classes. |
