“A Proud Tradition, A Promising Future” properly describes the Land Grant University System’s journey. We have accomplished so much over the past 145 years, but many challenges and opportunities face us. As we continue to work together, we will solve the problems of today through our teaching, research, and extension programs and lay the groundwork for others to meet the challenges of the future.
On behalf of the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, and the University of Georgia, the first Land Grant University established in 1785, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Georgia. The 2008 CSREES Administrative Officers Conference provides you an opportunity to discuss common issues, increase your knowledge in the areas of business and human resources administration, and to cultivate friendships and networking opportunities.
We also encourage you to experience Savannah’s Southern hospitality. This 274 year old city offers a rich heritage, amazing architecture, and incredible food. Travel a short distance and get sand between your toes on the beach of Tybee Island, and enjoy the views from its lighthouse.
Have a pleasant stay!
